Perhaps it’s the new apartment space that has me feeling like a modern version of Martha Stewart, but I’ve been craving a fun project lately.

A few months back, crafty girl Julie shared a DIY tray project that I knew I had to test out for myself! She turned a typical Ikea tray into a fun printed tray using fun paper from Paper Source. And since I was at Ikea and I already had a tray on my shopping list, I decided to test it out using art supplies I already have on hand.

• gold paint marker leftover from same table project

The tray is already being put to good use! It’s currently holding my remotes, a travel book, and a giant mug of coffee.
